Probably get on the water around 1 or two and fish until dusk. Gotta work all the bugs out of my new baitcaster combos for Clear Lake. Company welcome.

Forecast says rain, but that will turn on the striper bite in the shallows.

Very tempted!  Where about do you launch from?  If its less than a 2 hour drive, I think i'd be up for it.

It is, its pretty close to Tracy off 205 coming from SJ. Its a levee road, I launch off an old abandoned dock, but its deteriorting fast so, not sure if its even there. Short paddle to my spot.

Pretty much it's the same road you take to go to Tiki but stay to the left. Best way to find it is look up Whiskey Slough Harbor and go right to the Marina, but instead of going through the gate at the Marina right at the railroad tracks take a left on the levee road. It's the only way you can turn. You cannot get lost on the levee road. Follow the levee road a few miles down. When you get to the loooong stretch at Empire Cut you are almost there. Very simple.

The road is rough and goes from pavement to hard packed gravel.

Wow  :smt002  Thanks for the intel there Jeff!  I love the 'key' and zig-zag GPS track the most  :smt044  I went out of Tiki for the FW derby last year, and believe I went almost all the way to where your talking about, but made a right at the bend there.  So, pretty sure I know where I'm going now :)  Thanks!

I was messing around out there with Melissa a couple of months ago and that old dock is done... Watch out for some rusty nails in the wood that's still there. But, yeah... you'll be launching of the rocks. Time to either rebuild or find another old dock to launch off of.

Sunday may be doable for me though. It'll be a game time decision though. If I can make it, I'll bring your goodies along.
