Hi Eric,

I was joking about the mouth open (didn't you see the icon  :smt003).  I think you deduct the 1/2 in to compensate for the mouth not closed is fair enough for me.  Sorry you took it seriously!  :smt003

Not to worry Sonny,
Didn't want to taint the AOTY compitition - the rules do say the mouth must be closed.
Besides, I havent even started yet - The best is yet to come  :smt005

As part of the AOTY comittee - we would like all mouths to be closed since that is consistent with DFG regs, but... if you look at past AOTY entries, probably 10% of fish had fully closed mouths.  :smt009

We know most AOTY'ers give it a best effort.  If you follow the rest of the rules and submit a clear picture, the worst we'll do is adjust it according to our consensus.  Basically, if it's an honest oversight in the moment of battle... we understand completely and will correct it as we see fit.  If someone consistently tries to abuse it... we may take other actions. ;)

Please don't make our high-paying jobs any harder... try to keep those mouths closed if possible.  :)

Nice slabs yakhopper - put your best one back up.   :smt003

Thanks for the clarification Fuzz,
In the best intrest of the game I will be more than happy with the current fish.

My main goal is to at least upgrade each time I hit the water.
Having a minimal amount of time to fish (only off Sundays) means I have to fish as efficiently as possable.

Side Bet ?
(If allowed by the AOTY Comittee)
I will be willing to offer a small prize to the person who tops me (AOTY Points) in the same amount of time or less (Days on the water)
Maybe this will make things more intresting  :smt003

You won't see me taking that bet. I've only fished with you once. I was struggling to get a bite and I hear this whistle, there's Eric holding up a fish. Then another whistle. Another. It got to be like a train station with a new one rolling through every few minutes  :smt005

But it was a fun day and I ended with a few on my game clip  :smt002

Keep it up. Love the crappie posts, btw.

This sounds tempting,
I was actually thinking of going for Sturgeon on Sunday
Where is the petaluma river and how far from Fresno?

THE ABOVE FISH WAS REMOVED FROM AOTY COMPITITION
Due to the question of legal measure on the fish posted above
I have removed it from the AOTY board and replaced it with a different fish

Hi Eric. The mouth open on the crappie didn't bother me. But I WAS wondering about a measuring stick where the measuring increments could not be clearly viewed.

Howard
