The bad part is I lost the big one at the yak as it was barley hooked
Not sure how big but it beat this one by at least 1.5"

What kind of report is this?  No lake name was mentioned so it could be a Crappie farm  :smt003  And I thought all fish pictures with mouth open are disqualified?  :smt044  Anyway, congrat on the "huge" slab and thanks for the pictures (not the report with no lake name)  :smt003

You are right Sonny according to the DFG measuring rules the mouth must be closed for measurement. Good call Sonny. :smt006

Sorry Sonny,

San Jaquin river East of Hwy 99

The fish measured 16 but listed as 15.5 to compensate since the mouth could not close on this fish

If it is Disqualified so be it (I'll Catch another)

It's all about having fun.

For what it's worth - I'll be on the water again next Sunday for another round.

Have a good week

I love the competition.  can't believe it's boils down to crappies and Sonny's hunt for the elusive catfish :smt005

THE ABOVE FISH WAS REMOVED FROM AOTY COMPITITION
Due to the question of legal measure on the fish posted above
I have removed it from the AOTY board and replaced it with a different fish
