Another excellent day OTW at Folsom! Caught 6 Kings, 1 trout, and a few missed strikes. I thought the day wasn't going to turn out very good since I left my neoprene's at home, and tipped the Hobie while rolling it to the water and had everything go flying out  :smt013

Highlight of the day had to be hooking into a 18" King :fishing1 and watching him do about 6 rolling aerial jumps. It also caught the attention of all the power boats since the water was like glass. Kept 5 Kings, released 2.

Met up with FishWorks916 OTW and he had a successful day bass fishing too, so we headed back to Granite Bay and Ricky grilled up a nice tri tip. It was great meeting you! I can't wait to see your posts with all the bass pictures! Fishworks went back OTW, so I'm sure he was slaying more of them!

Next fishing trip.....Sat. at New Melones!!!

Man, sound like a heck of a day.  Never fished Folsom but I hear it can be hit or miss.  You definitely got the hit.

Not 100% sure that those are kings though.  It's kind of hard to tell.  Either way, I'd be happy with a 7 fish day.

Big congrats on the kings MC. I'm sure they were a load of fun to catch.

Yeah, those are trout. The shape of the nose, tail, and coloration is different. Here's a shot to give you something to compare with.

Great fishing though. Looks like a great day OTW.

I was using pink dodgers with a pink wedding ring, and a pink flasher with a pink spinner all tipped with a worm in about 10 - 17ft of water. Here is a picture of the other two (top picture). Maybe I did get 3 Kings, and 2 Rainbows. The second picture is from a previous post and trip out of Folsom. I'm no expert, but the tails do look different? I noticed the inside lip is darker and they have more teeth.

Great comparison there. The top two have the pointed nose, forked sharp tipped tails, and few, if no spots, showing it's a salmon. Hard to tell exactly what kind w/o looking in the mouth and seeing the spots better but either a Kokanee or Chinook. If I had to say either I'd go with Kokanee. The bottom two have the rounded noses, tails, and spotting of a trout. Thanks for the photos.
