Headed out for another trip to the Forebay to meet up with Andy and his family and do some fishing.  Well, at least we did some fishing  since Andy was too busy CHILLING! :smt044

Left SJ around 8, and arrived at the camp by 9.  Couldn't pass up Andys chorizo and egg burrito's, so we didn't launch until around 11.  It was fairly foggy until then anyway, and we ended up having a nice warm windless day to fish!!!  :smt003

My mission for the day, catch a LMB and try and stay on the AOTY list for another few weeks   :smt004

Covered a lot of water today, finding out that most of the lake is very shallow, in the 5-10ft range.  There are some deep spots that you can find though, and it seems that is where the fish are holding.  Did some trolling and picked up three strippers, 2 > 18" and one dink.  Also picked up a small mouth (correct?) while drop shotting the islands.

Sara trolled up THREE FWC (fresh water clams)  :smt044 And no other nibbles for the day.

Sounds like you are going to have a nice Valentine's Day today. :smt044   I need to get out there sometime.

BTW, I'm going LMB with light coloration.

WTG on the striper and LMB Al. Would you recommend lures or minnows for next week?
Dude, I hope you make that dutch oven peach cobbler again. That was so good.
Perhaps I can have a double portion this time. :smt003

Im going LMB as well SMB are alot darker in color a brown more so. You should have been able to tell by the mouth. if it had one that was large it would be a LMB if i was small then well it would be a SMB.  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

I'd say LMB.  Nice fish either way.

....don't believe they have small mouths in the Forebay.

Looks like the water level is low.

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to next week!
