Could we dial up some more desirable swells this year.  I didn't enjoy puking last year. :smt002  :smt044

Seriously though, thanks to those who are stepping up!  Like others, don't know what kind of assistance I can be but let me know if there is anything I can do.

FWIW, I'm with Bill on the shirt issue.  Although they were always top notch, I heard Sean say on more than one occasion how they ended up not paying for themselves.

Plus over repeated times you will get 6pack abs from puking. The swells werent that bad last year. Its just where they met the rocks that looked ugly. We will figure the hoodies and t's out. There will be a cutoff date probably and then all funds should be available to pay for the stuff.

Sweet, once things are firmed up with the Campground post up the confirmed date, and let us know if we should tell the Campground anything special when we make reservations......Maybe make a post in Tourneys with some particulars...with this much lead time we should see over a hundred Yaks on the water it will be awesome.  7/17 or 7/24 would be better for me, but 7/31 would allow for abs on Sunday.  I was bumed when there was no BAM V and when I heard this was going down the tube too.   Now It's all good!  I'll be there regardless of date in July.  Just let me know when it is confirmed.

Thanks Jack, Craig and the rest of you for keeping this one alive.

I will be there kayaking or not.
Last year was IMO the best NCKA event to date.

Folks

Sean has some big shoes to fill, and it will take a committee to do it.  Zee, can you whip us up a t-shirt design?  Whoever has kayak sponsorships should hit them up for a kayak.  We all have our fav tackle shops, we can hit them up.  Sounds like we have the campsite reservations underway.  Craig, I have a contact for making the t's and sweatshirts in Sebastopol.  Sounds like we will need to get some cash before we order the stuff.  Papa Bill does NCKA have any funds to front the order?  Maybe instead of donating the proceeds we hold onto it for these kinds of issues?  Specially if we can't get the kayak Companies to donate yaks for prizes.  With help from everyone, it shouldn't be too difficult to put this on.......Now what about BAM?  With the rains we might get the lake levels up.  Not sure if the fishing will ever be the same but we need a lake tourney with some nice warm weather.

FYI, Sean already has the Albion campground reserved for the last weekend in July.  We just need to confirm that we're on.  Sound like we are.  Jack or Craig, will you guys confirm with the campground.

Is that the weekend of Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st or the weekend of the 24th-25th?
Sorry for such a seemingly dumb question. I assume it is the 31st but want to be 100% sure.

Insiene, everything will be cool. Kayak companies dont donate an entire kayak. They may sell at cost but thats it. according to Sean. I have already asked him about this. Yes some money will have to be laid out and when the enrty fee is applied towards the cost hopefully it will balance out. Stinger sports wear is right by my house and I know the owner so it would be good for me to use someone local. I have sent Zee a PM on NWKA and have not heard back yet. Sean owns the artwork from last year. I think Jack and myself with Bird and Mickfish can do a great job. Polepole has also agreed to help with some questions as they arise.  Its really mostly about having a good time and the people who enter dont dillydally about putting up the enrty fee when its time. We can get sponsors for some stuff for prizes. If you have someone who wants to donate an item let us know. It would be cool to do more than 3 prizes.

Craig, I'll try to think of something to donate or, at the least, pays extra for any T-shirt or hoodie.
