Jerry met me in Pleasanton at 6 and were off with the hydrabikes in tow. We stopped in Farmington for breakfast.

He whose name cannot be spoken was headed down 49 and was to meet us at the infamous Glory Hole. Suddenly we saw this.

Stopped at GH Sports and dropped some coin for pink grubs. Jerry offered to pay so I told him make sure you have $8 for exact change at the gate. We head out and see snow on the way in to the launch. Get to the gate and the guy says $8 exact change. I turn to Jerry and he says whaaat,  is that's why you said that in the store. We managed to scrape together quarters and even tried to short the fellow a quarter but he was too sharp for us.  Snow on the ground on the way to the ramp and Stellman mumbles something about that being a good thing.

Met Kurt at the evacuation station and launched the fleet. Light but steady rain little wind. Frehened up the bloody marys and paddled out.

Uneventful trip out to the creek arm.

Had 6 rods in the water with various color grubby little basterds. Fish were there but a lot of short biters.

Rain tapered off and we had a slow pick going.
Scenery

Stopped for grub Stellman Sausage Specials and bargain pack bevmo beer assortment to wash it down.

Creeks were running briskly.

Ospreys all over. Thought I spied a bald eagle. Cloudshow. Headed back to the ramp around 4 and banged a couple on the way in. As you will see I like to marinate them in beer

Pink Grub was on. Jerry bangs his best late

combined stringer

We made up some gin and tonics and cleaned the fish waiting for Kurt. No show but he is a grownup.

Another great time out there!

Jerry's famous bloody marry.

Was a little drizzle headed out.

Orange worm working.

I love these holders. Im gonna drop the right one 2 1/2 inches and use a tube holder like the one on the left.

Patrick doing a little bobber fishin.

Jerry's now famous sausage sandwich.

The break zone.

Patrick with a fishy.

Fish on.

Fish gone.

Some of the debris after the rains.

Excellent time!!

Very tasty too!

Excellent report with great photos.  Love that first trout shot.  The Bloody Mary's to beer to gin and tonic drinking progression was admirable and it sounds like the drinks, the sausages and the company were good fuel for the long day.  Nice one.   :smt001

Gosh, with the way that lake has been fishing over the past couple months, I hope there are fish left for February 20th. :smt003   Although based on what I've read from various sites, it sounds like with fewer plants over the last couple weeks, things have slightly slowed down.

Wouldn't know it based on this report, nicely done gentlemen!

That lake is HUGE and will not run out of trout anytime soon. We are not catching the round/worn tail planters. Those are easy to catch with Powerbait if you are into that sort of thing.

I realize that, hence the emoticon.

Yeah, not my cup of tea.  I'd almost rather get skunked than target them with PB
