no, not ripped with defined washboard abs...

This is what's keeping me off the water in January so far.  :smt009 Complete reconstruction of my right ankle: tear in tendon repaired, flattened tendon rounded, tertiary muscle in sheath debrided, ligament damage repaired, and tendon groove in fibula enhanced. Doc says it will be better than the "good" ankle soon.  :smt003

Been n a cast since 12/23. Healing is going well though and should get a walking boot first of Feb. If anyone will help hump the boat, I should be able to fish by then again!

Here is a pic - had to include the Franknstein stitching.

Good luck with that- and great shot!

snapped it with my phone while they were changing the cast this past Monday.
Doc showed me some of the shots she took during the surgery, and I made her promise to forward them to me - really cool!
They had a tourniquet on, so it looks like a cadaver foot. If I ever receive them, I'll post it too! lol

Sorry that gives me night mares.  I twisted my foot almost 360 in HI a few years ago. Hurts still when it's cold.  Leg broke too.  Get lots of rest.  Sorry if you're can't work.  That must suck.  I just had a big bolt put in my leg and then later removed.  Couldn't walk for six months though.

It was elective. Since I was lucky enough to have an appendectomy earlier in the year, my out of pocket was used up, so I could finally afford to get this one fixed.

Original injury was a few years back - snowboarding. Doc said it was deteriating quickly though, and better get it fixed now.

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone! It's actually healing really well. I'm just bored. Luckily I can work from home for now so that's something!

Best wished for a speedy recovery OBK. One of my friends had eye surgery last month & isn't allowed to go back to work until March. He's right there with you on the boredom thing.
