I do realize this a non yak event, but figured I could post this question here.

Hey Brent:

The  working date is March 20th.  this year will be come one, come all, because the banquet will be a Portuguese Hall, not at the yacht club.  Also, We won't require morning check-in, so people can "fish their way" to Santa Cruz.

lastly, we'll have "shop trophies" so anyone who is on that shop's team canwin a trophy for that shop and attendant bragging rights for the yer.

It's gonna be big and it's gonna be fun this year.  Entires will open mid January, announcements on the
LGF website beginning of January.

YES!!!! Thanks for changing the date this year Allen. I'll be able to attend. Let me know if you need any help this year. I don't want to be responsible for pictures again because I actually want to fish but I'll help out any way I can.

Whats the cost?

It was $35 this year. I would guess it might go up a little due to paying the extra costs at the Portuguese Hall.

I get a feeling that most guys enter just to have a shot at the raffle. Because the raffle prizes are really good, and there's lots of em! Heck, last year I only bought 10 tix and won 5 times! ...rod+reel, book, shirt, WON subscription, hat, etc.
Plus, the $ goes to a worthy cause, the Monterey Bay Salmon & Trout Project.
I'm looking forward to it. Let me know if you need help Allen.

Can't wait...I even got some practice in over xmas in so cal. I managed to catch 6 BSP's one may have been a contender.
