Black Point Fri 12/11

When I got there, Allen, Adam and Sonny were on the outside of the trestle and it was too cold for me, I was going to bail, then they kind of talked me into it and came back to the more sheltered spot between the bridges. Zilch for me, I lasted only a few hrs if that, I lost my Gortons fisherman hat so got a wet-head and that was that, Adam joined me on the bail too, his feet were going numb, man it was some kind of chilly, I kranked the propane heater back at the truck and boiled water for a cup-a-soup. Thanx for the company/bait fellas.

I had to close the bay doors at work because that chilly wind was blowing straight in the shop. I was thinking about you guys and saying to myself" those guys are nuts!".

I was rooting for all you to catch some monster sturgy for being out there in this
condition. Actually, if I wasn't working today, I be along side of you guys. Thanks for the report Ben and sorry you lost your rain hat.

This says it all. Actually, I was warm except my head when it rained, good waders, thermals, snowboard boots, good gloves, still a bit crazy.

I was unbelievably warm, comfy, and dry but I did catch a little grief from the others on my choice of additional  "rain gear"

You must have been a scout- very well prepared!  Hope you had a leash on it in case of a big bite.  thx for the report.

Met Adam and Allen at China Camp but the condition there was bad so we decided to go over to Black Point.  It's cold, windy with light rain in the morning but getting worse in the afternoon!  Fishing was slow and I caught the only fish of the day: a big 5" bull head!    Allen is the only one who really prepared for this kind of weather!
