I dont know where the carcamp is, but i do know it is NOT near the water.

yeah the car camping is up the road from the launch ramp, and it sits up on the hill with no direct water access, if people want i will take a drive out and shoot some pics for people to decide if thats where they would like to be in a storm, cameron

Car camping would be at Liberty Glen, up the road/hill 5 minutes from the launch ramp. They have  covered Group Camps that need to be reserved to be used. The rest of the campground is first/come basis. This time of year, lots of room. No water, you need to bring your own. Bathrooms are Porta-Pottys. I'm also hearing that Sat/Sun only 50% chance of rain. That's better than the 100% we're experiencing now!
The lake has got to muddy. I could be wrong. I might go hunting there tomorrow and will take some pics as well if I go.

I'm also on the fence now. I just (minutes ago) got my truck back after a week in the shop. I'll have to wait & see how much the next couple storms impact the mountain before I decide to leave the wife & pets behind.

Thanks for the note about no water at the car campsite, I would have been woefully unprepared.

I'm still going if this is still on. I'd hate to show up and find out no one else would be there. ON or OFF? 

As before, I know that Andy and his bro, and Sara and I will be there!    We will share a spot.  Hear that Eric (and someone special) will still be going 

First come first serve from what I hear, so wondering who will get there first!  Hoping to find a good set of camp sites together we can set up Tarp City with!  Anyone camp there recently?

I'm in    Will bring an E-Z up tent for shelter.

I just caught a bad case of LPS.  Joel try out your new spikes in the mud! 

I thought that is was car camping? If it is still, I'll be going. Will be bringing some cooked food so all I
have to do is heat it up to share. Of course I'll also be bringing some steamed rice again.

It's ON...  but only for a few hearty souls such as ourselves.

  Nope, it all started out a yakin camping!  Good thing, it seems things have changed now, otherwise. you could have been camping alone.

I just had a 2 foot diameter redwood top take out 15' of fence at my house. So instead of camping it looks like I'll be dealing with that this friday. 

 

                                        Thankfully it missed the house! 
       I'm really hoping I don't get the call from my wife telling me a widowmaker found our house! (Deck etc..) She's freaked out enough already with the high winds and heavy rains.  She's just hoping to make it past today with out loosing power (In Felton) and as of yesterday, power was not lost yet.
