I vote to postpone this event to a later date.  My mother is very ill and the doctor said she has about 2 months to live so I got to go back to Texas to see her this weekend.

If its the case that people are going to bail because of the weather, should we all haul up to tahoe instead?  I mean, everyone who was going to go has already cleared it with the SO, so its not a WAF problem right?  I'm just sayin'....

hey sonny, you truly have my deepest sympathy. 3yrs. ago my mother was diagnosed with stage5 cancer. my brother flew her back to his house in redwood city where i spent every weekend with her 'til she died 30 days later. in retrospect, i wish i had quit my job and spent every day with her. on the bright side, i was thankful that we had the time together to say good bye yet she didn't have to suffer for a long time.  lps is kicking in i gotta go.

Assuming you can get there.  These storms will be hitting there too.  Think I heard something like 8-10' in the next week.

Well... I didn't spend the last month trying as hard as I can to prep for this trip in this weather!  So Sara and I are going to camp somewhere either way     She isn't afraid of the weather

Eric, if you can't switch spots or dates, let me know. I'd like to make sure that you did not waste any money for reserving the campsite. I TRULY APPRECIATE the effort you made to get the ball rolling and if YOU still plan on going on with the original plan, let me know and I will be there with ya

But a reschedule for the rest of the gang will be forthcoming.

Eric, you know if you have to eat the reservation fees, we'll make sure you're reimbursed. I definitely got $ on it.
...not that I'm conceding defeat or anything...but it sounds like the group site may go unused if everybody car-camps.

I have not been on the water for close to 2 months, and it's making me nuts.
