Just saw Matts octopus on another thread and then ewb mentioned the pline jig in the same thread.  It's funny because I just finished a rough copy of my new octopus lure and even pulled some squid from a pline jig this afternoon to put my octopus on.  Cool how we are thinking so much a like.  By the way I'm almost done with three really nice prizes for angler of the year.  So excited for the people that win my stuff.  By the way this is very much a prototype poured with a coffee cup this morning.  I will be changing the mold and making different sizes and styles soon.  Thanks to everyone who bought or received baits from me.  Andy ideas or comments would be appreciated.  Thanks Andy

Those look awesome!  What's the minimum quantity on those and how much?  I'm already giddy with the anticipation of how the fishies will like those dangling in front of them.  let me know.  thx.

Wow Andy, those look great!  Much better than that little clay one I made.  I can't wait to see how they perform.  I bet the Cab's will be all over those.  As many baby Octopus as I had puked onto my lap, these lures should work great.  I will be intrested in seeing how you rig them.

Make a black and orange jig.  Years ago, I made a big leadhead into a sort of octopus with a bunch of orange and black live rubber.  Worked great.  Plus I have caught a lot of big lings on purple and black Tady jigs.

John I could send some free but i need a couple more weeks with this to perfect them.  This was a very trial run at a first bait.  Not nearly finished.  I want my stuff to look Japanese good when it's done.  Thanks sailfish.

Califbill this is starting to get weird first Matt beats me to the punch second ewb metions pline jigs when i thought of and tried that today and now you mentioned my other idea which was to make the head out of lead and the legs an attachment.  I poured these with a coffee cup but left the orange and brown ones I did today at the shop.

Nice work Andy,
I know you're thinking northern cali, but I'm thinking poss farther north (AK.)
I might get a shot up that way this summer and these should work great.
Keep up the good work,
Eric

Thanks Yakhopper.  Been chatting with Mooch.  I better start befriending him now if I'm going to get a shot at fishing Alaska next year.  I'll be making 4 or 5 sizes this being the smallest.  I'm going to be making the head out of lead when it's finished.   What weights would be good for AK.  Thanks Andy
