Hit Sly park at about 8 o'clock today to hopefully hit some trout.  Nice looking morning with some fish on the surface.  Trolled for trout on my way over to look for some makinaw.  Got two planters (fish and game is planting Sly Park again.) about 11 inches each.  Caught those on a watermelon sidekick dodger with a pumpkinseed grub about 12 inches behind the dodger.  When i got to the islands i started trolling a silver F7 flatfish at about 18-25 feet for a succesful 3 lake trout.  Ended up leaving at 12 o'clock so i could finish home chores... still an awsome day.  Cant wait till it starts snowing up there, thats when the makinaw fishing really gets hot.

what do you mean by eat?  if how do good do they taste then i really like them.  I generally dont keep fish, with the exeption of some macs during the winter.

if that didn't answer your question could you be more specific.

hope that helped,

Mike

Good report Futhel.  Keep them up.  Every time I read your reports I remember being fifteen and fishing every chance I got.

I'm sorry for not being more specific.  I guess what I said was more of an old man term, and sort of backwoods.  Yes ,taste, as compared to other species of trout.  In 1982 I had a Lake Tahoe Mac that a friend caught but I don't remember as to how good it was.  Thank you for your response. Jim
