Right on, Brutha!  You're getting in to your new favorite sport Big Time - you'll be like Aquaman when we meet up at Shelter Cove next year.   :smt001

Got OTW @ 9:30 and paddled out to find the guys fishing outside the cove. Dragged the bottom then moved around the corner to look for Mr Ling. He chased my lure+fish to the surface and hovered beneath my kayak for a second. It was pretty cool in 30ft vis. Then I finally hooked into a nice one and brought it boatside. Caught with one of Andy1976's custom jigheads--green 3oz w/7" blue/white swimbait. It was a nice little 27 incher. But I decided to let her go make more babies. Finished w/about 10 rockies, mostly small blues, kelpies, b+y's, and gophers. All released. Missed a big fish when it took me into the kelp--that sucked.

After I got my fill of hook+line fishing, I paddled back in and grabbed my dive gear. It felt really good to get in the water and mess around. But my mask doesn't fit and I broke the buckle on my fins already lol. I haven't been in the water for a long time and using new gear felt awkward at first. Definitely harder than I remembered. But crazy-fun and I'm stoked to do it again.
Andy's definitely got a new madness! He shot some really nice fish today. And in quick order too. I don't think he'll ever go kayak fishing ever again lol!

It was great to see everybody again!
