Del Mar 11/7 - Non-Yak - Surfing Dogs

Surf fished Del Mar today with Molly for nada fish but the surfing dog exhibition was awesome. The surf was big for Del Mar and the river mouth had very confused water. We worked the dog free beach north of the river for excellent dog play but not much else. Some of the surfers said there were small halibut in the area but I had only my surf perch stuff (MORF grubs, Gulp camo worms). Had a great day and will have to say Del Mar is one of the most dog friendly towns in California. Had an excellent lunch with Molly and Karen at the Americana Cafe. Molly seemed stoked to try surfing so I may have to give it a try this winter.
