well it looks like we are losing our star player to the big league. Congradulations  Mooch. I wish you the best. Are you going to live there year-round? I heard Alaska can be a lonely place in the winter. I also heard there are only two seasons up there...winter and july.

Sad to see you go Mooch but I can't blame you for chasing a dream job. Couldn't
have happened to a nicer guy. Goodluck with everything up there.

Not so good news....just a few weeks back, I had been experiencing rib pains and shortness of breath. I thought nothing of it until Adam's Paradise shindig. Jonesz saw me huffing and puffing while I had just cleared a flight of stairs and that's when he told me about his experience with Pulmonary Embolism. He talked to me more about it and thanks to him, my eyes opened up and I took the condition I had to heart....had I not bumped into him that day, I would never even considered seeing a doctor. Jonesz, I owe you a slap in the ass (NBA style) :smt002.

So, that Monday (with the promise I made to some of my NCKA homies) I went to the hospital and when they heard "chest pains"...I was quickly led to the ER where they took blood samples, urine test, skin test for TB, x-ray, CT scan and after hours of waiting around in isolation, the ER Doc said that he had to drain some liquid around my right lung (as he made me sign a "waiver"). I was also told that they had to hold me in the hospital for 3 more days(in solitary) for further tests and to wait and see if i had passed the TB test. On Day 4, after they drained a litter of fluid around my right lung for the second time, they had me on the CT scan again and that's when the doc saw something in my spine....."Cancer" he said. I wanted to tell him to go ahead and put a band aid on it cause I had to be in Alaska in a few weeks but I knew it wouldn't fly. They ended up releasing me that day and that I'll be hearing from the Oncologist Clinic for an appointment. But just today, the doc called and said I need to go back for more blood tests cause they STILL can't seem to figure out what type of cancer it is.....

So this is all we know for now....

My Alaska trip is obviously a no-go and words cannot describe my disappointment.....however, I am keeping the Lap Top you guys gifted me....ain't giving that back...no sir :smt002

You will need that laptop next year, posting about the Kings in Herring Cove, or maybe the 100+ pacific halibut in the cut.
