Wow, that was better than watching NCIS and it was resolved so quick.  So, what are we going to do with the bad guy?  Hope it's not his neighbor.

Additionally, what are we going to do for the good guy? Count me in for free beer/s for Amphibian. Feel so proud to be a part of the NCKA family.

I may be wrong but didn't someone else on this site find some ones stolen car last year.  Amphibian you are awesome.  Your gut was telling you it was stolen so you kept looking for an answer.  Just when you think this site can't get any better....

Thank You Merv !!! I'm totally blown away I never thought I'd see that kayak again. We were just watching TV after dinner when a HPD officer walks up to the front door and says we just recovered your kayak, come down to the station and pick it up. I quickly put the racks on and drove down there and picked her up. Again thank you Merv I've got your phone number I'll give you a call tomarrow and set up that free beer.

Well to add to the story I was the guy who drove from SanFrancisco really Pacifica to buy the Kayak.I was ready to pay $500.00 and was told the police just called and they said the kayak was stolen. My wife and I stayed around and I even helped the officer get the s/n off of the kayak.I was shocked to learn it was really stolen.I just started kayak fishing and have a prowler 15' but for that price I would like a kayak with more storage compartments and all those rod holder mounts looked good to me.I'm really happy the owner got his kayak back.Good work ! I would of unknowingly bought a stolen kayak.

Great thread and well done!!   I would love to find out if the seller was the bad guy, the bad guys fence, or the sucker who bought the stolen yak from the OGB (original bad guy) since the theft was quite a while back.
