Ravensblack (is it Doug?), I've read a couple of your posts describing the Horseshoe. I've never been there, and would like to have a chance to experience that place before the idiots close it down. I mainly would like to do some ab dive. I have a few newbie questions if you don't mind...
1) How deep is the general area for ab diving? I'm a newbie and had only done it once at Van Damme. Anywhere more than 15ft is probably out of the question for me.
2) Would I need Wheeleez to roll from the parking lot down Stump Beach? Just ordered my from Hook1 yesterday. Not sure if it would make it here by Friday.
3) I get queasy easily. Is the wave prediction such that I should dose myself up for the ride?

Looking forward to finally meet you and others.

thx,
ernest

Lucky, you will need wheels for the beach part. The parking lot is big and there are some tables there. There are a set of stairs that will have to be negotiated with the kayaks. Partners will share the duty like the other Horseshoe trip. If you are ab diving and you are new to the sport I wouldnt reccommend it this time. Where I will dive is a good paddle up the coast so I am taking other gear to dive with. That means I will paddle in somewhere and change then dive. Or possibly fish then after getting back to Stump paddle out for a quick limit.

I suggest that if you want to dive Horseshoe that you go up on Saturday and walk down into the Cove. It is a fairly easy walk and should be great conditions if you don't want to deal with it on Sunday. Ocean Cove or Salt point Park are both close campgrounds. I will be at Ocean Cove diving this on Saturday and maybe Friday.
