oh yeah!! seeing you "top spotters" swing away in the 8th inning is a great thing to see. Congrads to all of you, FISH or NO FISH!, you're all living a DREAM!!
Thanks for turning it into a WET one!!  :jerk:

i agree with Juan on the fun part.....don't get too caught up in the "Podium" stuff, if it happens, it happens. Just getting out and planning your hunts at the best time of opprotunity (with the family) is why i enter it........or i'd be fishing my front&backyard every weekend and that gets boring VERY QUICKLY!

I seem to drop everything and pick up the camera when the bears are in view. On the last trip we stayed on the river all day forgoing lunch back at camp so midday I found a nice shady spot on the beach where I lunched on berries and took a two hour nap. Turns out that is the spot the bears seem to make their appearance. Had a bear shown up during my siesta  there would be more than bear poop on that beach... :smt009

Hey fellow salmon fishers. I just got back, it started raining up there Sunday night. Came down pretty good for about 45 mins on the drive home, then cleared up. Sunday was tough catching. I hooked one nice one and broke it off. Came up with about two inches of total fray....  :smt011 figure it pulled the line across it's teeth. That was the only hookup that day. I hit it hard all day. The weather was great, not much wind all day with a slow steady approaching rain and the natives had their nets out of the water most of the day. Hey Juan, don't hate that moss. I was talking ot one of the gals pulling her net, and she said that moss clogs their nets and makes it so the salmon go around the nets. Awwww bummer eh?  :smt002 So there's the silver lining for ya. She also said they are ending the susistance fishing this weekend too. Don't know how reliable that is, but that was straight form the native tougue. The coolest thing was most everyone came home with a fish. Sean I don't feel too bad for you. You came home with a boat...Hope you enjoyed the happiest day of owning a boat!!!  :smt005 She's gonna be sweet when she gets her custom "White Makeover" Did you file your adoption papers..... :smt002 It was another great trip with even better company. Enjoyed a nice grilled slab last night. Hey Patrick, got any of my pics?

I am a lagger...

Another awesome adventure angling in the wild west.  Glad Dad got one on the last day after all those heartbreaks, as I was starting to look for alternate ways home... :smt003   I managed to land two fish and lost one that towed me around for a good fifteen minutes, never even got to see it.  As soon as I got home all I could think about was going back!

"Thanks for the reports and pictures guys.  Did you see anyone catching them on fly rod?" I brought my flyrod as you can see in the pic, but I never used it. I was hoping for a great day where I would be willing to sacrafice some conventional time if I had a couple in the bag, but it never happened. There were momments of a good grab, but mostly you had to work for your grabs. I had one good day where I would have considered it, but there was a net in the hole I was intending to try it in... :smt012 I acutally let a couple go thinking they were silvers, luckily Patrick came by when I was landing the third one and confirmed it was indeed a king. I was going to let that one go too!! :smt005 I miss read the coloring in the mouth, let a beauty go an hour earlier. Pure chromer with shoulders!! Still came home with some nice fillets tho.
