hey folks,

1st post; I'm a friend of Allen and Deva (scallen & fish flogger) on this board.  Deva, Keith (khmunger) and I went out from the Santa Cruz harbor last sunday morning, me in a 13 footer courtesy of Allen.  Anyway, my first kayak fly-fish caught were 3 sardines, hehe.    We were 'making bait' and I tied a sabiki rig to the end of the leader.  3 of those guys at once, pulling down hard at the same time, sure puts a good bend, even in a 9wt rod  :smt003

here's a pic from the outing, kicking around in the kelp beds.

regards, --Lars

Yay!! Lars finally made it to ncka  :smt006

Good to have you here buddy. I hope we start getting together for kayak fishing more than every 2 years   :smt005

This weekend looks less inviting for kayak fishing as far as weather goes but lets get together sooner than later. I'm hoping to get another trip in when the weather looks good.

Yay Lars in the HOUSE!!!!!!!

So, where's the picture of the Cabbie you got?   Not that a triple-header sardine haul is not exciting, but..........

And, I am really hoping I get to tell you you're borrowing my P13 too much, go buy your own.  I am waiting for the day.
