Michelle, this is your thing, but I want to make a suggestion...

Mooch has started a movement, and it's a great idea.  I will be bringing my own plate and fork, and it would be great if everyone did the same.

I think every time I've been to DV I end up picking paper plates off the water.

That would be helpful, absolutely!  However, I'll buy enough for everyone this time - but I love that idea!   

It's not the money, but just remember it gets really windy there in the afternoon, right towards the point we'll be on.

Oh I know it's not the money  -  but I just want to make sure everyone has a plate to eat... then agaiiiiiiin.............. more food for me?

Yeah, the Mooch is into a lot of things. As long as he isn't INTO my icechest while I'm on the water. Gotta keep those bacon-wrapped albacore steaks clean and fresh......

Stripers bust bait right off the pcinic area we'll be in--I've seen it happen--but, unfortunately, I've only seen it start in late September on. If the water is still warm, and I'll be it is, we may not see much action other than deep down by the dam for sluggish hold-over Trout. Then again you never know. There are Smallies in there near the rocky walls I have heard and supposedly they are on the bite in the Fall. The key might be to stay for the evening and until dark and wait for some action I think

Pat, I'd put it in a bear proof container....lather it up with some baby oil...and then hang it up in a tree.....then perhaps, I might not get to it   Never under estimate the power of a hungry mooch
