Not-so-surprise Fish 'n Chill on 8/29/09

Long story short, the cat is out of the bag.... or... the fish is out of the cooler... however you want to say it.
However, the event is still on, and hopefully more people will see it on here than checking their email for the evite! 
Everyone is invited, bring your family, pets, etc to Del Valle this Saturday.
Here is the details:

When:   Saturday, August 29, 12:00PM to 7:00PM (I, and most people, will be there all day ... so feel free to come out whenever).

Brian G is turning another year older!  29 to be exact!
What better excuse to eat a lot of food, catch a lot of fish, and enjoy some good ol' fashioned bbq and fun in the sun!?

Who:  For Brian G - of course!

What: Surprise party, potluck, fun by the lake, bring your family and your kayak and pets kinda day!

Bring the Wheel-eez if you are bringing your yaks, it's a bit of a walk, but RIGHT on the water   SEE YOU THERE!

When:  August 29th - I put 12 pm but you can get there any time you want, really! Camp, fish - just don't start eating without us!  I will be there no later than 9am but lake opens at 6am - so feel free to drop off your stuff at the site!

Why: Because I said so?

What should you bring: A dish to share!  and drinks (WINE & BEER is the only good stuff allowed, no hard alcohol)... for yourselves (I'll bring chips, dip, utensils, etc.... and drinks, but bring some for you & the fam just in case)   Also - bring your yaks, your fishin' gear, a good attitude and anything else you want to do at the lake!
Etc: He thinks he's taking a friend and myself out yaking for the day. He has NO idea and I'd like to keep it that way. There will be a really snazzy surprise for all, but to find out what it is, you'll have to come and enjoy a day at the lake with family and friends!

Should you bring a gift?  No, your presence is your gift!

So far the head count is around 30 NCKAers.

Also - Eric B got REALLY excited about it and scoped it out this weekend  - he mentioned to be ready for inspections! 

There will still be a surprise, and actually - the funny part is that Brian is the ONLY one who won't be surprised about this part - sad for him, but you won't want to miss it!

Sorry I have to miss this!  I'm sure it will be yet another fantastic NCKA event.  Sad that I'm missing the matching speedo and sundress.

I only post/edit this after the cat was out of the bag.  Why do you think I'm trying to move my hookup from Sat to Sunday? 

My guess is that you sent a email to a group and he was included in the group email. Either that or you left your email account open and Mr. Bluejeans was snooping... but, he wouldn't do that would he???

FWIW last weekend I saw very few marks trolling the south end and narrows.  The dam is probably the spot to try.

I eat anything (literally), so I'm ready to pig out  I'll be there no later than 9 ... so for people who are there before noon, I'll have water/sodas/beer, etc  But official feast time is noon
