FAC OTW today, fished Monterey with Ernie, (Superfin19). Launched about 7 am and were off the water around noon. Fishing was kind of slow due to focusing our efforts on the elusive Monterey Halibut. Plan was to jig up some live bait then drift towards Seaside. No live bait and no hali love :smt012 We did catch a few rockcod though nothing special. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, should be since Patt (SoulHigh831) and I will be hitting up the Sur. Everytime I'm planning on fishing there I have trouble sleeping the night before due to the anxious anticipation. Patt has been on a dedicated hali mission as of late so who knows perhaps we'll find a Big Sur hali. Tough to fish for halis there with the incredible rock cod bite though. Whatever the results I know it will be a hoot since it'll be Patts first Big Sur trip. Included are pics of today's catch along with a few pics from the last Lucia trip with Ernie about two weeks ago
