Took my roomate / land lord to his first kayak fishing trip - launched out of HMB Kayak Co. to calm seas. It was like marine world out there! Lot's of diving pelicans, dolphins everywhere and the sealions were chasing sardines out of the water! Stopped at the first pinnacle on the reef line and took advantage of the flat conditions and dropped a swimbait right next to it and CAUGHT MY FIRST LING ON THE YEAR :headbang: It wasn't the monster type (like the one I lost at the Hollow a few weeks ago...and I really don't ant to talk about it  :smt011 as I'm still at the healing stage of my therapy  :smt022) but I was happy and thankful to finally get one on the yak. Caught and released some smaller RF while my roomate caught one little RF and called it a day an hour later as he wasn't feeling well....he then blamed me because my snoring was going through the walls and keeping him up all night...apparently, he misplaced his ear plugs  :smt011

Anyway, I have some pics to post but my fellow admins at NCKA decided to change the settings / file size for posting pics  :smt011 And because I'm not the most computer literate person, I'll have to go back to college to learn how to re-size my photos before I post 'em  :smt102 So for now, I'll post my pics at facebook :smt002

*On the way in we saw a sea lion hanging on the jetty with a HE-UGE (fresh) bite mark on it's ass  :smt118 I'm almost sure it will be dead in a few days. Looks like the Land Lord is prowling around the area....

Thanks for the report Mooch. Thats the only time I kind of feel sorry for those guys. No one like to see any animal suffer. Now about the Bean. When are you going back?

Thanks for the report Mooch. Congrats on your first lingcod of the year.
I remember my first time out there I only lasted about 45min and I had
to bail. I got sea sick as well. Well that wasn't the only time. It seemed
every outing on the sea I got sick. Thank God for Scopace! Now I am
good. :smt001

I'm totally into this post.  Way to get your first ling.  Cool that you had good conditions...

OK, I can't maintain the charade...  Dude!  "for now, I'll post my pics at facebook"  You are soooo busted for that.  Ten thousand just turned into something a little less honorable.   :smt009
