To all you guys that were "done with this shitty little thread" read no further. When a guy posts up his "story" and I believe him and post up my sympathy for his plight and then later on he posts up a dramatically different "story" from his first post and then before I and others that sympathized with this individual can respond the thread is locked down.....well that is unfair. You may not like my next post but I feel it's my right to make some things clear.

You've been warned and no one is forcing you to read further.

I am not going to name any names here. No names=no personal attacks.
As I read the second "story" my sympathy turned to anger. I believe I was deceived.
I am not anti-LEO but I believe others, including some recently banned members, are.
The following are some direct quotes which were left out of the initial "story" that illicited my sympathy.
1. Didn't have a fishing license and went fishing anyway
2. Saw multiple signs and went down the trail anyway without asking anyone any questions
3. Figured rangers would stop you if it wasn't o.k.
4. Scrambled to undermine the legitimacy of their actions.
5. I'm just a punk kid that mouthed off.
6. Rangers asked you to sit on the curb after you admit that you did not have a fishing license.
7. The kind of guy that could ruin all their fun.
8. Rangers could kill a guy in a park holding a fishing rod and a tackle box.
9. Run for your life and never look back.
10. Treat me like a man.
A man doesn't leave out the facts in his story to illicit sympathy.
Consider my sympathy retracted.
11. Spark a thoughtful debate
More like a shit-storm.
12. Did not get a ticket but complain anyway. Why? Ask Why?
I apoligize to all the LEO'S out there. I ***ked up but hopefully I have learned a lesson here and won't be so gullible in the future. jim

This just goes to illustrate how two people may perceive an interaction differently.

One guy felt like he was treated unfairly while the other guy felt like he was following standard procedure. Maybe the opportunity to see the interaction through the other man's eyes will enlighten both of them, and us too.
The end.
