Up to June Lake 2 weeks ago.  Late report.  Returned to knee arthoscopy surgery.  Knee is doing much better.  Took the yak and the Canoe.  Used the canoe as was easier on the leg and wife paddled while I fished.  Trolled needlefish and flys.  Caught one fish.  I think they were near the bottom according to those with depth finders and not many being caught.  Nice time, a little windy some days.  Daughters and one of the son in laws (other sick) and grandbaby joined us for the weekend, so was good without the catching.

Glad you enjoyed your time OTW.  Thanks for the report and wishing you a speedy recovery from the knee surgery.

We did some sightseeing and lots of yaks on Lake Mary and Twin lakes.  Lots of small lakes all over that region than are Yak and canoe friendly.  Wind seemed to be prevalent at a lot of places.  Maybe just because we were there.

Sounds like you have it dialed in! :smt044

I was up there several years back with the wife and in-laws and agree that it is a beautiful place.  Unfortunately I didn't get to fish as much as I'd have liked.

I used to take my Agean to Mission Bay, and she paddled while I pitched swimbaits and jigs.  Life is good.  Now our friend down there has two Hobie Sports and they are a little small for me, 6'4" 250# I do not have to take the truck to haul our yak.

Heading down there next week. Meeting my dad and hunting/fishing buddy from Socal. Dads first kayak adventure. Should be a blast. Be there for 5 days or so. Plan on hitting Mammoth, June, Gull, and a few other spots. Some stream fishing also. I know a lot of good spots. If anyone wants to meet us over there, send email and I'll let you know where we are. Some places require 4x4 and some big cahones to get to. Later, Rob

Now that beats any trolling motor for sure. Better company to. :smt046
