The bait, Sea Lions, Birds and unfortunately, a lot of kelp pushed in to the beach near Sunset.  Spoons brought in a few Stripers.  Fishing was tough with the grass in the water.     Watch for bird and seal action when you go.  This bite can run hot and cold.

the stripers are all over monterey and sc beaches its just a matter of finding the feeding school. i was surfing manresa today and right next to me there was a huge feeding frenzy of birds, seals and dolphins and there were only about 6 shore casters working it. i didnt ask how they did but i could see they were throwing plugs and one of them was walking back to the parking lot with a 15 pound striper... i only wish i had my fishing rod  :smt012

The sheerwater birds were driving bait up by Capitola late this evening.  The East wind was blowing a bit.  Sometimes you get quite a few stripers working under the sheerwaters.
