Dude, Al GREAT F'in score dude..

I bought a 99 4Runner/4wd new, and I have had ZERO problems with it. I LOVE THIS CAR. Only thing i have done other then normal maintenance is change a headlight, never let me down.

Ive taken it EVERYWHERE, deep snow, deep mud, mud and snow, rocks, camping, crazy rocky spots too.

Ive towed many boats and dirt bikes with it, my last boat was HUGE, too big really, and it even towed it... slowly, but fine.

If your off roading, its a great truck with the right tires, I went for the manually tranny. Ive even taken it to pismo, get some good treads on it and it will go anywhere..

Fold the seats down, sleep in the back and see the stars through the sun roof!!! The yak fits nicely on top too!

Almost 200,000 trouble free miles now!!!

heres my baby with my Mom out in the sticks!

great choice, enjoy!

the 99 model has alot more Clarence on the undercarriage too!

:smt044 Hahaha, no I am keeping the Outback (TM) for my daily driver and quick trips to the water.  This 4Runner is for the long distance trips, carrying two yaks, camping/sleeping inside, and taking me to place like Burning Man and Reggae Rising!

I'm waiting for his call now, and heading out to pick it up soon. Got to drive it already last night and its SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! :smt007

Sooooo excited!

I have a '99 4Runner and so far it's the best car I have owned. Hauls my yak nicely, plenty of space to store my gear, comfortable ride, goes anywhere.

The only problem I have had so far is the air sensor and that was a problem related to the K&N air filter I put in there. It got clogged from the oil used in the filter and the "check engine" light came on. It's $120 to get that fixed at Toyota so I put an OEM filter in there. No problems since.

Enjoy your new ride!
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!

I have one too Al. When we met at HMB I drove a nissan truck. Somebody swiped it and that's when I upgraded. Our man Chuckie has been driving forerunners for a long time. See you at Albion.
My co-worker said there was something in todays examiner about the big swell in so-cal. This is going to be fun!
