Man, NAMBLA must be bummed!

For those of you (like myself) who might enjoy MJ comments like that, freerepublic.com and Fark.com both have some good threads going.  I'll refrain from posting them here out of respect for those of you who respect the MJ of old, not the MJ of the last 15 years or so.

Okay, maybe just a couple...

It's always a shame when a white woman dies.

Michael Jackson dead at 50. In accordance to his will, little boys' pants shall be flown at half-mast

Well you know he's going to donate his organ to a small child.

(Ok, sorry...I blame the third Fat Tire I just finished drinking.)  :smt003

Actually the whole thing is just really sad. Here you had one of the most talented people who became obssessed with being something he wasnt and later fell victim of obsessive sexual behavioral patterns. Obviously the guy was sick. Just as sick as someone with cancer or a drug or alcohol addiction. To make light of others misfortune is not only wrong its not good karma. Heres an old one for you. Ye without sin cast the first stone.

I remember making it into the newspaper from winning an art contest by drawing
Michael Jackson. Really sad he wanted to change himself so bad. The picture I
drew of him was from the 80's.

Ya know what's funny? I just got scolded by some girlfriends for saying Nambla must be bummed. After thinking about it, I kind of agreed that it was kind of distrespectful. And not really the type of thing one should post on the internet, so I logged on to apologize for my harsh comment earlier....fully expecting a bunch of angry responses.
HA! You guys always surprise me.

Yep, Mike's later years were definitely pretty twisted. Most of us kind of level off in terms of weirdness as we get older but he just kept on going right on through "genius weird" into "perverse weird."

But, his influence can't be questioned. If you're over 30 and say you never liked one of MJ's songs or never tried to moonwalk I'll call you a liar. I never bought an album of his, but I remember as a kid being really into Thriller and trying to moonwalk around my living room while watching MTV. It's too bad that he couldn't have leveled off at his "King of Pop" status, but instead whatever he had going on inside of himself led him into the freak child molesting, bleached skin, plastic surgery mangled person he became.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett

Word! I watched a performance of little Michael singing "Where there is love I'll be there" and it made my chest tight.I felt bad about poking fun at him.
The MJ that I mourn left us many years ago.
