Yeah, I still recall how stoked I was to get a walkman at age 13 or so. Then, the best part-the first tape I got for it was THRILLER!
How can you compete with a song that has VINCENT PRICE as backup?

I had the radio on yesterday on the drive home & listened to "Thriller" and  "Dirty Diana". I had the stereo CRANKED for old times' sake.

Seems to me MikeJ wanted to "out-crazy" Elvis. Maybe he did.

What can I add about Farrah? She'll always be a '70's pinup icon.

Ed? He set the standard for late night TV co-host.

David Carradine? I guess he died as he lived-kinda out there, kinda nutso, gave the impression he was never really acting, just playing himself, a student of the John Wayne-style school of acting.

damn. :smt010

He'll be back...

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

This conversation is a perfect example of what is wrong in america.
We would rather spend our time worrying about celebrities and their lives or deaths than spending our energies making the world better or at least less worse.

The media has us completely brainwashed.
Just like when princess diana died, millions wept, what about the millions of ordinary productive, genuine people that have passed tyat weren't famous who actually helped others?

Why don't we get back to reality and honor real people in our lives instead of obsessing about celebrities who feed off the stupidity of us ignorant common folks.

Turn off the TV's and spend your time helping your loved ones.

Just my two cents

Stoggie

Sorry for that rant.

I'm just sick of the media and putting celebrities and sports figures on pedestals.

Plus i was in a bad mood and really, really hammer dog drunk!

Party on garth!

Michael Jackson played more roles than most of us realize.

Stoggie,

Nuthin wrong with speaking your mind... This is multitasking, get some serious stuff done, then taking a few moments to either rant or support MJ...

When you get back from Cancun, let me know. I'm in Ben Lomond and we should go fishin!!!

Good point, Phil. You parade-rainer-onner. But he did settle the civil suit out of court, right.....?

Hey, Barry never tested positive for steriods, right....?
