Ok lets change the date to Sunday . It seems more people can get there on that day .5-5:30 am in the big turnout on the west side of hiway 1 . There is an old shack right by the parking area just on the other side of the fence. Thats Richardsons property. We will all meet there where we can overlook the whole area and discuss the plan in detail. See you there. Use your rights before they are gone.

Bitchin'. Can't wait.

We won't lose our rights. Horseshoe on the 2nd, "Save Horseshoe" on the 5th!

Don't forget your 10" gauge!

Allright, I'll be there Sunday.  Who wants to be my portage buddy?  I'm 26 years old and reasonably strong.  May or may not dive, I'm a newbie diver.

Just to make it clear, we're parking at the creek that separates Salt point from Richardson's property?  Are we going on the trail that heads down the creekbed?  From your line on the photo, it looks like we would walk down the road a little ways to a different trail.

Everyone should park in the large area then we can determine the best way to get the kayaks to the trailhead. Whether it be shuttle a bunch in the back of a truck or just carry. Pack your tackle in a backpack if you have one so you are really carrying your own stuff to fish with. Besides the rods of course. Bring dive gear if you ab dive or spearfish. This is going to be a very cool experience and one you will remember for a real ong time. :smt002 If you dont have a buddy by Sunday just show up and it will work out.

I'll try to make it on Sunday. Will try to remember to pack light

1.Wetsuit
2.Fins
3.Weight belt
4.ab iron an gauge
5fishing pole and backpack full of only essential lures.
6 Naproxen(tylenol for common folk)

you aren't goin gdown the face of the cliff trail on the south end are you. That seems a littel tough to traverse with a kayak. I hope there is a better way down that I haven't taken before

The trail down that I marked over the map is the easiest access trail. It is definetly doable you just have to take your mtime going down .

We are going to paddle up into Richardsons property and fish where possibly no kayaks have ever fished before.

Craig that is InSeine.  I ab dive there and it is difficult enough to get down with just a float tube let alone a kayak.  You just might see me.  I'd love to pick some virgin territory.

Bring your wheels. Jim has convinced me to do it. The sign says nothing about kayak carts. After we get the kayaks through the first set of bushes we can load the kayaks on carts and roll to the EDGE. Jim I have carried down there before and its OK. Dont wear your booties to go down . Wear your hiking boots and change at the bottom.

Where's everyone staying?

Hey Craig,
Got the weekend off! May need someone to help me get my yak out when done. My other friend Mike will have to drive back to Carson City on Sunday. This is really building up to be an adventure of all adventures! I've only dreamed of 10" abs. Let you know for sure by tomorrow if I can make it.

I am going to be coming down the coast on sat. and trying to get a site at Ocean Cove campground they don't take reservations so I will try and get one but I called and they said don't count on it. If I get a site I will gladly share it, and vice versa I hope, just need a place to crash.  Craig
