Does anybody name their kayak(s)?

My T140 is named Paddy Wagon.

Because it can be found amongst the kelp paddies...and because it's like a paddy wagon for fish! Throw em in the back and take em downtown! Tough life for fish in my prison---they often get clubbed, shanked, and murdered. But that's what they get for coming too close to The Paddy Wagon!

Serenity

a la the Joss Whedon show Firefly (and movie Serenity). Seems fairly apropos for the kayak fishing experience.

Becky's kayak, Jackson's kayak, The Hobie, The Prowler, The T-11.
I like to play it safe. The LAST thing I need to do is call out someone elses name in the middle of my sleep.
"Gawd you feel so good Serenity. I could ride you all day long."
Try explaining THAT one.  :smt044

I don't think of them like other boats...  There's a quote in one of the kayaking books that goes something like "You sit in boats, but you wear a kayak" and that's true, they are such a personal thing...  And I think that's why you see kayaks in our group with the paddlers name on the bow instead of traditional boat names.

Thats what I did on mine. So when I eat it on a surf landing ppl can say look what EWB did!

My OB's name changes frequently, depending on the terrain I'm dragging it over, or the incline I'm pulling up over :smt044  Usually four lettered words, (Not repeatable around children)  The stock 04' model year wheels albeit better than none at all, really SUCK!

I had a naming ceremony for my first kayak, with sage wand & the whole 9. That was a looong time ago.

I've not named my current kayaks with anything interesting. I do seem to always be looking though.
Currently the quiver is known by "the tarpon", "the cayman", and the "surf boat". Alternatively the "red boat", the "orange boat" and the "blue boat". Nothing looks better than all 3 together on the roof rack :smt044
