Take it easy out there Ebyekewabjeget, Point sur can be unforgiving especially for A newbie! Have A great time!

We'll take care of him.  It's always safety 1st, especially in those remote areas.

Having a couple EMT/Paramedic types along sure helps my security factor.

I wish I could've made it for this, but it looks like you have a good crew. Thanks again for the offer and we'll all be waiting to see the report...

Hi Alan:

Sound like a National Geo. adventure! I would do the same if,
I had the cash. :smt002
I'll be fishing La Jolla Canyon on the 4Th for WSB and YT if you want
to ditch your GW, and try fishing off a Yak. :smt005
I hope to see some bloody Yaks and Decks!
                                                                          Good Luck
                                                                          Ernie

Sounds like a fantastic trip.  I just back into town and was looking to see where I could fish tomorrow - Stillwater or Capitola.  This Point and Click site makes Carmel Bay sound possible, wind not much in the a.m..  I think it's done by computer extrapolation from nearby stations,
I'll monitor Ch 11 to see if I can pick you up, just for curiousity and vicarious thrills.  Have a great trip!

Spoilsport, that's the last time I text you the fishing headlines!

I'll let the others tell the full story, since I spent most of my time throwing up (and catching lots of large fish, butt no butt). My biggest acheivement of the day occurred while simultaneously reeling in another huge copper on one side of the yak while convulsively vomiting on the other. As I got the fish close to the boat it took off to the other side. I managed to seemlessly switch the sides I was vomiting on and reeling on without losing the fish or spilling any vomit on myself. Quite proud of that I was. If only someone had taken a picture. Or is the mental image enough?

I found myself both empathizing and chuckling at the same time.  Yes, you painted a vivid picture.
