i think it would be difficult but of course there is nothing that is impossible.  would likely need a very large amount of chum to keep them up.

I think there is plenty of room for a bait station...a big one.  The rear raised deck is also ideal for tossing a throw net.

i wonder what an albie slay ride would be like.

Tuna don't really give a sleigh ride expect very briefly at first.  Once you gain on them, usually by reeling yourself in, they go into the "tuna circle" mode and it turns into a vertical grudge match.

I (and the rest of this board) expect to the the RADON - PIMPING thread real soon!

If it works out I am planning on very little pimping this season.  I want to clean it up, rewire a few things and use the hell out of it and make sure its something I enjoy.  If that works out it will go into dry storage in Ukiah this winter and then the pimping will begin!!!

Ex urchin boat???????
Wondering if I read about that one in Bluewater Gold Rush?
For everything you do Sean I think that is the PERFECT machine for you.
Just imagine if/when salmon season opens up!!!!!!
The wheels in your head must be turning a million RPM.
You are gonna need one helluva big paddle for that thing. I would suggest a camano style.  :smt044

Looks like a beautiful machine to me, especially with the 'yak up top. That's a man's boat.

No roller system or slide will be necessary at all with the low freeboard. It looks like it could be a comfortable step over in favorable seas.

Agreed.

Sean, Nice boat. I'm excited for you. man.

I love the Radons also.  Living in SB proved to me how seaworthy they are; "maelstom worthy".  Seriously, it really kicks up in the SB channel, and all the divers used radons.  Pelagic Shark Foundation uses one as well, so I've spent some time at wintertime Ano on a 24 Radon.  Great boats.  Good job.

I say keep the davit.  Think "crab pots"

It doesn't have a crab puller, it has a winch, but even a simple block would make it easier for sure.  I'll give it a run before it comes off.

It is even for me.  I will still be on plastic, but wanted to expand the arsnel while having some safe way of getting the girls on the water.  Paige and Elsie are just too feeble to be yak fishers on the salt for some years to come.  They are going to love this thing.

Amen to that.  I can't wait to get my daughter out on a boat, maybe in a few years, she's three.  I think she'd get a kick out of pulling up some dungies and a little fishing.  Can't wait to step on the boat, the possibilities are much more now.
