Let me know if you have anything useful  :smt003

More specifically, I need the following:

Michelle,

I ended up getting an awesome deal on a used Thule system for our Explorer on Ebay.  It didn't come with load bars, so I found a set from an outdoorsman shop in Colorado , and they were closing them out at cost...

Now, if you're single with no kids, you can always buy new, but I've got two daughters (  one in college, one in high school) and they suck the life out of us every month, so its used stuff for us. :smt009

Well, no kids, but two cats, a dog and two brand new kayaks.... so ideally a used rack is what i'm looking for - been scouring ebay/craigslist :(

I can strap both of you!  There should be plenty of room - Even have a very spacious trunk?  :smt008

Hey now! Don't get them started about your trunk!   :smt005

Yours a two door or four door?  I have the same rack your looking for but with these extender bars that let me install it on my two door Accord.  With all straps, saddles and rollers, even bought the (useless) key locks for it.  Think I paid 650$ for the whole thing ( I KNOW! ) and it served me well for a year and a half.  Guess I could part with it for around $200, but was going to sell it with the car (if anyone buys it at all).

That's about what I priced it at, $650... I might have thrown up a little bit with the cost :(  Do you have a factory rack?  I'm rack-less ... so I'm assuming you have the Q towers?  Do you have the same clips and such?

Nope, no factory rack.  Just the straps, clips, bars, towers, saddles, keylocks, and this extender piece for a 2-door, vs 4-door.  Oh, and I just remembered that I bought a wind ferring too but never used it.  I can take a picture if you like of it on my old car, still mounted.

I know, 650$ was OUTRAGEOUS!  Especially compared to the like 180$ I spent on my Subaru with a factory rack for some saddles.  But it does work well, for the non sporty vehicles I guess there isn't much choice.

Btw, check out orsracksdirect.com if you haven't already.  Some pretty good deals there, vs ANY store that I have been too check out racks.

Cheers!

Do you know if the clips are the same?  I'd be willing to take that off of your hands if you are willing!   :smt007

Schnookems' - I'll do that, however, I'm not sure they can beat AlsHobieOutback's deal  :smt007
