With all respect to Pindo, I'm posting my own opener report.  One of many yakkers out there.  Bagged a few gophers, kept one nice vermillion to try poisson en pappillote tonight.  Picked it up on a 6 oz megabait (yeah I was going big).  Early season big swell suppressed the bite, which was slow for most everyone I talked to.  I wasn't anywhere near to barfing, but I did feel uncomfortable at times, esp. when the fog and mist rolled in think.  Had fun at Mooch's bbq.  Sorry to all whom I left at Mooch's, it was nice talking to you however briefly.  would've loved to stay for Andy's carnitas.  Marv and Ben, thanks for sharing the calamaris and pork - YUM!

...Imagine the crowds that would infest his secret spot both Yak and pb.

there will be "No loading of unloading allowed between 11AM - 2PM this season." He also said they would be putting up signs to that effect soon.

Two young men who were fishing out of a Tarpon 130T tandem, driving a red pick up truck (partial license "8P2083"), are one additional reason why I won't be fishing SWS anymore.  At least one of them changed out his kit, bare ass naked right there in the parking lot.  Not even the decency of a "towel change" to coverup.  :smt018  No regard for the other anglers whose coastal access are further at risk because of his willful and lewd exposure of private parts.  See Cal. Penal Code §314(1).  There were grounds crew there, and you better believe they reported that back if they saw (which I believe they did).  Dudes blasting loud-ass music and changing out naked in the parking lot are very strong reasons PB management has to restrict coastal access.  I'm not a member of the PB Boat and Beach club.  But if I was, I'm immediately on the phone to the PB management, PBPD, the sheriff, City Council, etc...  You better believe there are going to be repercussions.  Thanks a lot a-holes.   :thumbdown

Nice report, Yakuza. Nice verm, looks about 3 lbs. In the second pic that water looks sickening, good to hear your sea legs are worthy. It's too bad some dipsh%ts don't use common sense :smt011, hopefully they read your scolding and don't screw it up for everyone. And I think that is too funny that you got their license plate :smt044

WTG on the vermilion yakuza. Thanks for the report.

It is ashamed sometimes that it only takes one person to ruined things for
everybody. It sucks big time. I hope that particular incidence doesn't
label us as such.

Yeah, ben and marvin said they'd go 3 lbs on it also.  Pretty decent fillets.  I was in a pothole and really had to horse him out of some heavy kelp.

I'm not doing that just to put the dude on blast.  there were a lot of people out there yesterday, didn't want to mis ID the wrong red-truck.

here's a shot of someone whose name I can't recall.  He was fishing potholes, took a big hit to his line, but got wrapped up.  Still a decent action shot though!

Glad I missed the naked guy haha. But what a dumbass! There's a friggin bathroom right there!

Thanks for the report 'kuza. I had a disappointingly slow day--only caught 5 fish and kept 1, which was later donated to the deep fryBQ at Mooch's bachelor party.

There were about 7-8 NCKA homies out there, in addition to 4-5 groupies.

Nice Fish. Thanks for the report. It's too bad that those guys did that there in the parking lot. It was my first time out there on Friday the 1st and I would love to be able to go back.

Nice report 'kuza

Slow day fishing but the crew was their usual off da hook fun.

I had the same thoughts about the a--holes that will inevitably ruin it for the rest of us.
A guy in the parking lot said something about the unloading during lunch to me as well.
I said if you want us to stick around another couple hours and take up parking spaces we could or we can load up and free them up for you.

Your choice

Time to get a code or post hookups and reports via email or pm

Used to be just lurkers, now sincoast has paparrazi and stalkers and groupies following him.

Keep it on the downlow

Yakuza nice fish! congrats. I knew the swells would be bigger Sat. compared to Friday. Your pic showed me I was right. I am glad I didn't take my wife back out there. After your reporting the lack of class, etiquette and just plain common sense and decency, displayed there Sat. I'm REALLY glad I didn't bring her! It is sad that some people are so self centered that they must not care about the rest of us that have to endure their third world country mentality and the repercussions of it. Thanks for the report. I hope to meet you otw soon.

Well, not the best conditions for the opener, but I sure had fun meeting new people and the after party was a blast! I caught a underling and a small RF, so at least it wasn't as total skunk for me!  :smt003  Now I cant wait for GMS!  :smt044

Sorry to drag this old post back up, but I finally downloaded the 2 (TWO) pics I took. Yeah, it was that slow.

Andy with a blue. In a muthaf'n boat.

Not sure how this pic didn't get posted.
Usually some of the after fishing festivities are shown here.

Here is Mooch enjoying the post fish festivities!
As usual, he never goes halfway, it's all or nothing.

Sorry in advance mooch....
