a radio is not completely necessary at paradise - its more for chit chat there =)  with the amount of kayakers + pbers who will be in the water there will be plenty of eyes if someone gets in trouble!

True. Anyone without a VHF should be fine at this one - just stay within sight of others. If the weather's nice, there'll also be plenty of other boats out there aside from all the NCKA'ers.

Howdy all,
It was great fishing with everyone last weekend but didn't get to hang with many of you. I would love to hang out this weekend and fish with all you of you again if there is still room. Last weekend was on the hook! so I need to get that feeling back as quick as possible. Never caught a hali yet butt sure looks fun. What time are most launching? Let me know if there is room and I will bring a nice meat dish to pass along with some cold ones!

Yes there is room for you & your MeatDish :smt003......best tide is noon and thereafter....there should be a steady stream of launchings after the gates open at 7am.

the SPIRIT of the NCKA POTLUCK is to bring FOOD to share with others (or something useful like eating utencils and alike items)
Coming all the way from Modesto to eat others Labored $$$ DISHES while you probably only able to bring some chips and soda along since i will be packing heavy for the next day of clam digging

sleep in & save your energy, the soda and the chips for the clam dig

Shannon and I are in.  We will bring some beer, a case of water and I'll probably do some of my famous tangy/spicy marinated flank steak unless you guys would rather me make my infamous chili.  Either way, lemme know  :smt002

Looking forward to it.

I did, got it yesterday.  The thing gets fully charged really fast.  So far I love it.  Went in and did some programming last night and learned how to use things like Weather alerts and how to do the SOS LED etc.  I do like the scanning feature.  Since i like to listen to both 68 and 69, i set the radio up so it goes back and forth and will key in when a transmission is made.
We will see how it goes on Saturday as that will be the litmus test.

Hey FishHunter!
Count me in..bright and early.  Maybe this was discussed or maybe it's the obvious but with other peeps not fishing I'm asuming we can leave what we brought for the pot luck there at the site and others can place/arrange accordingly? I'll bring some carne asade, avacado salad, totillas and drinks.

I would already like to apologize now, I suck and I mean suck with names.  When I don't call you by your real name and say something like "hey dude, good to see ya". Don't take it personal.  :smt003
