I can feel the energy building since November...

Won't be out myself but I would have a plan B ready because thee was no west swell when the Cove was named.

Good luck all!

I thing we are ready for Friday however I am new in this sport/group and a have a few questions:
-What time will meet there? It is important for me to lunch with someone with experience because I don not have a GPS and my radio have not arrived yet. I hope Amazon will delivery it before Friday. I will commute from Hayward so I need at least 1 ½ to get there.
-How many people will attend the Friday event?
-Who will bring the barbecue grill?
See you there

You guys be careful on Friday.  They are calling for a 70% chance of rain.  The storm is coming in from Hawaii and they think it is really going to be a wet one.

Agreed...unlike my women, I like my oceans to be calm and flat.  :smt003

I just checked for Carmel by the sea and the report looks better.

Friday:  W wind 5 to 7 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the afternoon. A chance of rain, mainly after 11am. W swell 5 feet. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Friday Night: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 10 kt in the evening. Showers likely. WSW swell 5 feet. Wind waves 1 to 2 ft.

I would still keep an eye on it as even this morning, the news weather dude said it is too early to know exactly what is going to happen.

Here’s a link to our local NBC news station. The weather guys at KSBW are usually pretty accurate. Except that Lee Soloman guy….J/K Lee hahahahaha!

I think this the NWS discussion, but I get it from Weather Underground, at the bottom of the list of the brief daily forecasts.   It gets updated a couple of times a day.
Looks like it's going to rain a little, I'll have to check the swell forecast and then decide where to go - maybe Friday, but I don't want to crowd out someone who can only get out that day at Stillwater - not much parking there.

Come on Ben, you know you want rock fish more than stripers dont ya?!s   :smt044

Well, I'm a bit under the weather, but still planning on making it Friday.  Starting to get my energy back and staying optimistic about the opener I have looked forward too for so long makes me wanna say I'll be there rain or shine.

But if my body says conserve your energy for Saturday, I may end up doing it to make that one fantastic hookup. I cant deny a good hookup!    :smt006

At least I was able to scrounge up the energy to install my FF today (wooohoo!) so my new T15 will be ready for the opener at least!  It was also the FIRST hole I have drilled in a kayak, EVER   :smt005

Allen,
Check your nose to see if is growing into a hog nose. If so than you may have the swine flu and may want to stay home so the rest of us don't get sick too  :smt044 On the other hand, if your nose is normal, Get off your tail and hook up. :smt003 (I will again send you my bill for this medical consultation)
Friday is my wife's birthday. She will be joining us and I hope she gets hooked. This will be her first trip out fishing so.......we'll see how it goes.
