Stillwater Cove Friday, May 1st Rockfish Opener Weekend - Monterey South-Central

Seems like we should be planning something for the southern opener.  Anyone planning on taking that day off to be first on the water?  If not Friday, then for sure Saturday should be a hookup event!

I've got it marked on my work calendar, but won't know for a few weeks if the timing will work out. So, I'm tentatively planning to be OTW on the opener, but if the weather looks poor I'll skip it, work, & wait for conditions to improve.

After last year's opener, how can I NOT take May 1st off work?! 
I'm planning to hit Stillwater Cove unless it's clam enough for a south coast trip. Will probably fish Saturday too. _{And I think CSBA is May 2 also.}

I'm hoping to go out of the Santa Cruz Harbor on the opener.  Any takers?

I myself plan on hitting Stillwater Cove, with A shore lunch to follow afterwards!!!! I dont think I can get fri off.

Planning to join Fishmaster and crew on Saturday at Stillwater. Won't know about Friday till we get closer to the date. Looking forward to a GREAT season

I am planning to be OTW for the opener as long as the weather/ water cooperates.  I will try to fish Sat as well.
