Is everyone bringing their own drinks? I can bring sodas. And is alcohol permitted there?

This info was provided by Mooch at the 1st annual Del Valle Fish n' Chill. May want to check and see if all/any are still valid:

 1. no alcohol allowed on the site
 2. $250 cleaning deposit (so make sure to clean the site afterwards)
 3. 2pm checkin,  12pm checkout
 4. only allowed to use commercial (store-bought, packaged) firewood
 5. cars are locked in to the park from 8pm to 6am
 6. no cell phone coverage, use payphone at boat launch for emergencies
 7. 1 mile hike in from parking lot to campsite (15 minute walk, 5
minute bike ride)

Yeah, that's what I recall from camping in the main lot...

Does the camp store still operate this time of year?  Good for ice and stuff at a $$$ of convenience.

I'll bring soda, more H2O in bulk, OJ, a couple flats of eggs & bread and/or bagels. Anyone bringing frying pans or should I?
I also have a bunch of granola bar-type treats - great for daytime, on-the-water snacks.

Stormscrambler, just make sure those pallets aren't chemically treated - no toxic cloud over camp! I'm sure we can get around the store-bought firewood rule if it's cut up & you just bundle it with twine or something.

Is anyone bringing charcoal for the grills?

I'll be traveling light, so I won't be bringing anything that needs refrigeration, but I plan on bringing chips and beer to share. Maybe I'll cook up some fresh tortillas for the meat too.  :smt003

We don't need no stinking charcoal for the grill!  We use firewood coals!  It is a "Man Grill"  :camp

But I think I can bring some just in case......

GB2~Scott brought up saturday lunch. ManDawgs will be featured for those who want.
If we are potlucking, lets make this lunch a group effort, so that ONE person is not buying, cooking and prepping the whole thing.

We need these items to make them "OFFICIAL"
Buns(how many people want dogs?)
Chili( I will provide and heat)
Cheese
Onion&Tom
Chips

I'll be traveling light,  Maybe I'll cook up some fresh tortillas for the meat too.  :smt003
Cool.....that box of FIREWOOD(non parishable) your contributing is gonna be heavy enough for you....Mr.LightPaddler :smt012

Al~ Which nite are you making ManBeans?  I can bring some of the needed ingredients or some sourdough frenchbread?

Andy~ Which nite are you making carnitas?  I can bring something to go with it.

We should ALL be trying to organize the MainMeals(if possible) to minimize too much of THIS and not enough of THAT. Last time we threw ALOT of wasted food away.

Mooch also requsted that EVERYONE bring thier own WASHABLE plates and utencils inorder to set a NCKA Standard

WASTE REDUCTION in the form of REUSING stuff we USED TO THROW AWAY

Not a bad idea!!!!  You should see the full cans of paperplates&plasticware after one of these EPIC Fish&Grubb...err, Chill events.
