After the many comments on my daughters bait sized puppy I decided I'm gonna join the Save Our Cats From Fisherman Society and try and get them to Save the Puppies from you ruthless anglers too.  Check their promo vid....they got everything a good Animal Rights Foundation needs.....Global Warming Rants, a double chinned Frontman, Blaming Mexico and Argentina, Rich Fisherman out for kicks by torturing animals and crafty video editing techniques.  You guys are goin down.   :smt001

LOL....I think the only people guilty of abusing cats in that manner are the jerks who produced the video, the SOCFF.  Watch the clip where they thread the bit straight shank hook through the cats neck, the hand blocks the view, when they toss the cat out the single j hook magically turned into a treble hook.  While the cat is in the water you can see the hooks are attached to some kind of band or harness thats attached to the cat, its wet fur can't hide it.  I particularly like how they throw in that the alleged "fisherman" were rich and white.....why the hell is that relevant?

Complete BS IMO.....money making scam by people who hate fisherman.

Agreed...my bullsh!t radar is picking up a huge pile of crap in this video.  The poor kitties didn't even flinch when they were "impaled" by those hooks...

Yep. There's no real affiliation with PETA & the other orgs - they just say they'll give "a portion of the net proceeds" to them. Twisted as it may be, it's obviously a response to the sea kitten nonsense, with an attempt to make a little profit from the same people who actually subscribe to the propaganda. No way would PETA-types throw those kittens in the water & let them shiver like that to make the video.

The video does not have me laughing but naming the cat "Mullet" on the logo is a nice touch...

Thanks to Bob Lewis of Miami for perfecting the method of kite fishing. That was one of the most informate videos on kite fishing I have seen. I still don't understand how the release pin travels up the kite line???
I hear it's pretty easy to make your own bait for it too.
I saw they were using black but I bet a calico color would put a lot more flash in the water. :smt044
