Thanks to Bob Lewis of Miami for perfecting the method of kite fishing. That was one of the most informate videos on kite fishing I have seen. I still don't understand how the release pin travels up the kite line???
I hear it's pretty easy to make your own bait for it too. 
I saw they were using black but I bet a calico color would put a lot more flash in the water. :smt044

Tote, the kite  is hooked to a separate rod/reel and the release is fixed on the kite line. The kite is released, and when you get to the release the anglers line is hooked to it. Then both the kite and anglers lines are played out until the desired distance from the boat is reached. :smt002

That's what I thought but it looked like the release hook was free sliding from this pic.
