I hit the lake at about 7am and the bite was on!  I took 2 small rainbows near Negro Bar trolling a silver needlefish.  Looking for bigger fish I made my way to the inlet.  I drifted a 1/4 Cleo and hooked a nice 18 incher.  The fish stopped biting around ten, so I packed it up and went home.  A short, but productive fishing day!

The view screen on my fishing camera is broken, hence the weird picture angle.

Nice report and pictures.  I wanted to go, but I had my son's Cub Scout meeting to attend.

Way to slam 'em and thanks for the report and pics.  I drove right by there today on my way home from Tahoe.  Nice to have the temps back up to a decent level, eh?   :smt001

5$ fee per car.  If you wanna go together you could park your car in a nearby free lot and I could take you and yer yak to the launch for free.

Pretty good results ABTF! Especially for that lake. I don't think the DFG is planting Natoma this year, either. So it's even more of an accomplishment!

I noticed many of the local trout spots have been taken off the DFG plant list.

an awsome launch is if you get on Greenback towards folsom going over the bridge.

keep going on Green back and take a right on Leidesdorff st. That will turn into Folsom

blvd. keep going for awhile until there is a sign saying Lake Natomas, leading on a dirt road

for about 150 yards.  in the main part of the lake troll a watermelon doger (i prefer the

little sidekick ones) with a threaded worm with Trophy Trout scent.
Everybody should have the opportunity to fish
