Well I am so excited, I am going to try and burn a V day at work today (wish me luck).  That was I can get an early start on the road    If I get there early, I will try to look you up Amphibian.  I just have to wait for the gas stations to open before I can leave. 

That may be the funniest post of this thread. Can't leave town till the gas station opens. I have lived in places like that but it sounds funny now that I live in the city.

Just like a kid on Christmas eve I didn't sleep too well
Just need to finish loading the gear, shower, then hit the road, 5 hr. drive to the Cove, ETA 1:00 pm.

TWO HOURS TILL I HIT THE ROAD!!! 

Gotta work today...     GOOD THING IT'S AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER AT THE COVE!!!     Gotta love getting a little work done on the way to bliss.  I slept like shit last night - I'll have to catch up Sunday...   

Watch for pot-holes.  Slow for curves.  Pull over for locals.  Down-shift on the last two descents.

Well...it's over for people who's leaving for Shelter Cove today but another loooong day for us til tomorrow! 

I'm leaving Monterey around 3 today. So I s/b there by 10pm. Will cruise through the campground to wake everybody up....then speed away honking maniacally.

I was so excited last night. Packed sooo much fishing/kayaking gear. Including 8 rods. BUT...in my haste, I forgot to pack clothes D'OH! 

Scary thought - Sin Coast the Pirate with 8 rods and no clothes!   

The latest forecast is cementing tomorrow, Sunday and Monday in as sweeeeet and Saturday may be a little breezy, but we'll fish whenever we want with the low swell that we're being blessed with.

One more thing about phone in Shelter Cove,  if you have Verizon then you can make phone calls on your cell around the Abalone Point area.  If you have other carriers then "good luck".  There are 2 public phones that you can make collect calls or use phone cards: 1 locates at the "Inn of the Lost Coast" and the other is to the left of the "Beach Combers's office" (behind the camp ground).

Loading the truck up tonight, The Walrus and I should arrive around 1:00 pm tomorrow.  Will pop a cold beer as soon as we arrive per video
