Tried to post this earlier and things went awry.....

I hit the Bean today.  Got there around 7, still foggy.  made my way out to the rocks and gave the old heave-ho with my new (old) toy, the Golden Sabre.

I had a few hits, caught two small greenlings, one more hit that dove into the rocks.  probably a record Cabezone haha.  Anyway, after donating 8 rigs to the rocks, I packed up and headed home.

It was fun, next time I'm going to bring some bobbers.

Beautiful beach scallen, nothin better than the sun on your back and flat water.

Except that record cab that got away!

That looked like fun. I thought about joining you but couldn't get my gear together in time. Maybe next time. I have a new Super Seeker jig rod I'd like to give some exercise.

thanks all, it was  a great little getaway, with low equipoment input.  refreshing.

Ben- we gotta get a poke poling expert.  this time i want to actually CATCH something.  also we have to remember to keep our radios on so we can hear Danglin this time.... Still sorry about that one, Don....

let's look for the next minus tide.

Allen

Awesome work Allen

I would like some of that too. I've never been to bean where is that?

I just picked up some new rigs, I got a surf rod and reel the rod is a 12 ft. Bigger than i'm used to using but it was a good deal. I picked up this setup along with a steelhead rod and reel, two nice trout rods and two ocean sticks along with a Penn 150 (antique) all for 40 dollars.

The dude really needed the money and his misfortune is my gain. I'm setup for almost anything now.

Let me know when you go again and i'll give you some company.

Again, nice pos allen

Stoggie
