Freddie and Melissa's reports by phone were killing me yesterday while I was working the ISE Show.  I just had to go ASAP, so I met up with Ariel and Tailwalk today, and here are the results.  My dino was 58.5" and Tailwalk's was a fat 59.5" hog.  I dropped my anchor at 1:00, hooked up at 1:10, and landed it at 1:20PM.  :smt003

More pics and detailed reports to follow.....

I went out to the the launch to checkout the wind situation for myself. Wind wasn't howling that bad and I didn't see any whitecaps in the water. Called Chuck, Tailwalk, & Freddie let em know it was a solid GO and a little wind won't kill us. Chuck & Tailwalk were on the way while I made a run to the baitshop. Met the guys back at the launch.

Paddled out found our spot couple minutes later bendo Chuck is on a Slayride. Chuck returns with a nice sturgeon.

Few minutes later I get a series of taps get a lite set on the hook my rod goes bendo fish starts taking drag. I wasn't satisfied with the set on the hook  so I set it hard again, drag is loose ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, SLACK, SLIGHT BEND, UNBUTTONED, DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Having a convo with Tailwalk BOOM he set the hook and goes for a little slayride ***surprise fish very nice size, i will let Tailwalk tell you the story***. Tailwalk gets a nice release on his fish. 5 mins after the release BOOM Tailwalks rod goes bendo again. Tailwalk goes for the big Slayride. Soon after Chuck follows to give him a hand if needed. This fish takes Tailwalk far, wind is howling, current is ripping, and they are enroute toward Treasure Island. Tailwalk and Chuck return with a fatass fish.

We take photos and call it a day.

Nice job guys! It is getting difficult keeping up with all these sturgeon hookups lately. It sounds like you guys have found the sweet spot out there. Hard to believe it is only taking around 10 minutes for "Fish-On". WTG and keep them coming.

Thanks for sharing,
Ray

They look like brothers out there with the same yaks and basically the same size fish huh??? But, that doesn't surprise me... I believe Leno is peddling Chucke's old yak. Which is good because that boat has got some good fishing juju.

Congrats again fellas on the catch.

Freddie
