417mi. OTW in '08...totals,recaps and most memorables

Well, I hit a milestone this year, 417 GPS compiled miles of madness. Last year I hit 260mi. and thought I was crazy then. I started a 4/10 shift in April, which gave me an extra day to play.

Freshwater= 135.5mi
Delta=  29mi.
Bay= 68mi.
Ocean= 184mi.
Total Days Fished: 86

pic1~ From the coast, it's a 20min. drive to secure the last camping spot in the park.  We had SIX vehicles total, everyone was planning to CarSleep, but the driveway to the camp was a VERY STEEP incline. We all found a spot to park&sleep.

Most Pathetic Provider Awards go to Myself,EricB. and BenGuitarzan.We were supposed to catch fish for dinner at camp that night......well, lets just say we had 1-small black between the three of us NorCalKayakAnglers....PATHETIC!
it was a good thing our NCKA-DivingCrew was next door or we would have starved that night!


Funny thing is this is also the Worst Combined NCKA Fish-hunt in history too!
The WXs were too damned calm, it was FULLMOON and a slowmoving HIGHTIDE in the middle of the day........we all struggled to find even a GOPHER to hook(except for HolyT-Patrick) He had the only Hot-Stik and was ON FIRE!
