Hey guys

I know we all have goals for the year mine are endless to be honest... I will state a few if I had to guess how much I fished this year I would say at least 40 to 50 times which is much less then I wanted, and much less then some of you...

My plan for this year is too learn my new fishing grounds of the Central Coast better then I now know and fish at least 60 to 70 times Baby steps and I have to be realistic... I also want to keep track of my fishing trips with the times and all..

As far as Goals go I want to target some new fish besides the same old... I want to get my first Halibut, WSB, and YT off of the kayak... I want to gain more fishing comrads.

What is everyone's goals for the 2009 season...

Happy New Years to you and your Family...
May your 2009 fishing season be as great as mine is gonna be...

Paddle and Fish Leo to Broad

Happy New years... As you can see no Butts, WSB, or YT...

Brother, you need to attend at LEAST one of the big NCKA gatherings! Believe me, you won't regret it :smt002

I 2nd Mooch's comment. I made it to the New Melones one and had a blast. And I didn't catch a damn thing. Can't wait for the next event.

Nice recap and resolutions, Ryan. Happy new Year to you too.
I'm right there with you on the halibut. I NEED to catch one this year.

I also plan to keep an accurate fishing log for each trip---things like the marine forecast, the tides, moon phase, time of day, drift direction&speed, lures that worked, fish caught, etc. This will help me get a better idea of which Big Sur beaches are launchable in certain conditions (some are better with pure N swell, some are bad with offshore wind, some are unlaunchable at low tide, and so on).

Oh, and Ryan made it to an unofficial event in Big Sur. I think there were like 10 NCKAers in attendance. Looking forward to 09 rockfish season!
