Put down the beverage first...

I think I'll just make one out of a car antenna, a 2x4 and some duct tape.. ;)  I'll call 'er the 'ghetto boner'.   :smt005
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

This isn't real is it?

If it is, I'm sure some of us will find out on Dec 25th.

Is this the thread where we make boner jokes?

I've never minded filleting fish that much.  Those tubes of fish flesh with the skin still on seem kind of weird.  Still, I'd like to get a boner......doh.

"I know what you guys do up there"

No wonder they call it a brokeback Rapala.

Okay, not so very clever, just had to participate
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

Wow, I've never seen a boner like that before!

Do they have extra large and mega boners, too?

This vid was posted a few days ago over at NWKA and a member noticed a very interesting point in the directions for the boner. It says "the fish should be dead (and left out in the sun) for six hours before deboning"....  :puke:

Not exactly true. It says the fish should be dead for six hours and thawed if previously frozen. It makes no mention of leaving it out to rot.

Continuing the games; I hear you can store your boner in your pocket.

Too bad there isn't a similar way to debone fish other than trout.

Oh, it's killin' me! The people who came up with this thing were either extremely naive or were complete jokesters.
I'm guessing the did the whole thing as a joke and are still laughing every time they sell one.

Put fish over de-boner & Count de Monet!
